Set aside the current state of recession in the country, 2016 has been a blessed year, if not for anything but for the fact that you’re alive and reading this post. The industry has seen a lot of drama in 2016, the latest of all is the entertainment law released by the ministry of culture and tourism, Rivers State few days ago. That not withstanding, a microscopic few of Port Harcourt entertainer has not stopped trying on the daily to get to a more comfortable spot in the industry.

5. Dandizzy
This list would be incomplete if it doesn’t contain this freestyle beast who goes by the name of DANDIZZY. His versatility and ability to freestyle from nothing to something is one attribute of his that always leaves the fans begging for more. 2016 has been a blessed year for him as he managed to sweep through most, if not all the major events within and around the city of Port Harcourt.
No doubt, Dandizzy is one ya’ll should be on the lookout for in 2017. Did i forget to mention that Dandizzy released a fan favorite banger titled BAKASI?

4. 2slik
If you’re a fan or even a critic of Pepeboi 2slik, you’ll agree with me that this young lad has over the years grown to being an artiste with appreciating standards. I can beat my chest and say “No former song of his has been better than the next until date”
2slik has had fruitful collaborations with industry heads, the likes of Duncan Mighty and Burnaboy, recently his ‘fast becoming a hit’ single, a solo effort with beat nicely laced by Micon, the track titled COVER ME.
This year has been tough yet 2slik never lost his relevance along the line. For that reason he deserves a spot in this list.

3. Kessy Driz
The very beautiful and talented songstress has for years proven to be the number one female music sensation from the Niger Delta. She outshines the other females not basically because she has a great voice but because she has refused to let the word relevance bypass her.
Kessydriz has this year unleashed two monster tracks, employing the services of two top notch entertainers in Nigeria; a musician – Sojay, for the track titled OUR LOVE and producer – Kukbeatz for the track WHATEVER. Both tracks an classy and has overtime picked airplay.
Her relevance on social media is not lacking one bit as she’s there most times to engage her fans meaningfully (Even though she has refused to follow back on instagram)

2. Loxxy
Ask me an example of the definition of consistency and i’ll mention a hundred times “LOXXY“. This year, Loxxy has been about the most consistent artiste outta Port Harcourt. His 2016 releases so far has been nothing other than LIT! While we thought he has given his all in LIKE CONGA, he came through with SENIOR MAN and wraps up the year with THIS SEASON.

1. Bukwild Da Ikwerrian
Charles Mgba, Bukwild da Ikwerrian the self acclaimed Mr. Fisherman (who i’m sure hasn’t gone fishing before) is a prolific Port Harcourt Based singer known for the smashing hit single SHOW ME HOW TO FISH. This year Bukwild has been outstanding and it is safe to say he’s the biggest musician outta Port Harcourt in 2016, following his inputs into making the industry lively this year. With a crystal clear Bobby Rak directed visual to his 2015 dance-hall single ABBOBY YOKO still gaining massive airplay, Bukwild Da Ikwerrian went ahead to unleash a world class remix to his evergreen single SHOW ME HOW TO FISH featuring Mc Galaxy and Seyilaw; that no doubt is the collaboration of the year.
Did i forget to mention that Bukwild Da Ikwerrian is the most awarded artiste this year? He copped a couple of award for his artistic contribution in the Niger Delta by individuals, private and corporate bodies.

Fegor Eneh drop a couple of highlights in 2016, he’s a very spontaneous artiste with very unique vocals. Lemme share a secret (please don’t tell him i told you). Exsess gets over 50% of the inspiration and lyrics of his tracks in his bathroom.

Rocknana
Under the management of HUK Entertainment comes yet another diva from the south with great voice. She’s put in a lot into her career, don’t be shocked when she finally hits the limelight in 2017.
Lest i forget, Rocknana’s recently released single BASCALABA is currently enjoying massive airplay and the visual was directed by Unlimited L.A. Lemme share a secret (Don’t say i said o) – Rocknana is one of those enlisted for having wack lines in 2016.
